"Restaurant Solar do Pátio was our favorite restaurant during our recent two week stay in Portugal! The new owner was so welcoming
and spent some time explaining his new venture. The limited menu will change every few months, with chef-chosen selections using the freshest local ingredients. The restaurant, close to the Palácio da Bolsa, is set back from the street in a small courtyard.
We ate inside in the lovely dining room, but they also have outdoor patio seating. The evening started with complimentary olives and a cod croquette - no, not the kind you get elsewhere, it was creamy on the inside with a tiny drop of aioli on top. My husband and I continued with a cod main course which had homemade chips on top which were delicious, and my description does not do it justice. I finished off my meal with the delicious chocolate brownie dessert. And, I should mention, the owner helped us choose the wine based on our preferences and it was perfect! We loved our night at O Solar do Pátio Restaurant in Porto!"
